Spiritual Warfare Is SOOOO Real!...Or is it?

So, I was talking to my friend last night, whom I hadn't spoken to in months, and we got on the topic of spiritual battles with demons. Personally, I've never encountered a spiritual demon, but he told me about his "outer-body experience." Basically it's when you actually see your spirit come out of you while you're asleep. That's as far as I understood it :/. But anyway, I attend a Christian university where a lot of weird things happen (spiritually). I met so many people who have been attacked by demons in their sleep and the stories were so real and so scary.  I've had prophets tell me that demons continuously run after me trying to attack me, but they can't catch me.

See, these demons don't play. Even when you think they aren't trying to get you - they are. They come in so many different forms that we are unaware that they are even there. They even come to babies and young kids. The times they come are when we are most weak and unaware - sleep time. We have to continuously pray those demons away, call Jesus' name, do whatever you can do to get them away! And it is true that when you resist Satan and his demon friends, they come back with and even bigger squad determined to defeat you.

"For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons. For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds." 
2 Corinthians 10: 3-4


"Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour. Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset--rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world." 1 Peter 5: 8-9
